Building and facility construction and maintenance services

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has received a complaint (file PR-2024-063) from 5D Property Management Group (5D), of Hamilton, Ontario, concerning a procurement (solicitation K3D3C-240357) made by the Department of Public Works and Government Services on behalf of the Department of the Environment. The solicitation was for the provision of mechanical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and associated building maintenance services. Pursuant to subsection 30.13(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act and subsection 7(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations, notice is given that the Tribunal made a decision on December 13, 2024, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint.

5D alleges that its technical proposal was unfairly evaluated. It also alleges that there may be a conflict of interest within the evaluation team.

PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT ACT

Permission and leave granted (Xi, Kenneth)

The Public Service Commission of Canada, pursuant to section 116 of the Public Service Employment Act, hereby gives notice that it has granted permission, pursuant to subsection 114(4) of the said Act, to Kenneth Xi, National Defence, to seek nomination as a candidate, before and during the election period, and to be a candidate before the election period, in the electoral district of Nepean, Ontario in the provincial election to be held on or before June 4, 2026.

The Public Service Commission of Canada, pursuant to subsection 114(5) of the said Act, has also granted a leave of absence without pay during the election period, effective the first day the employee is a candidate during the election period.
