FIRST NATIONS ELECTIONS ACT

Whereas the council of the Musk-kosiminiziibing has provided to the Minister of Indigenous Services a resolution, adopted on August 19, 2026, requesting that the name of the First Nation be added to the schedule to the First Nations Elections Act^{footnote a};

Therefore, the Minister of Indigenous Services makes the annexed Order Amending the Schedule to the First Nations Elections Act (Musk-kosiminiziibing) under section 3 of the First Nations Elections Act ^{footnote a}.

Order Amending the Schedule to the First Nations Elections Act (Musk-kosiminiziibing)

Amendment

1 The schedule to the First Nations Elections Act^{footnote a} is amended by adding the following in numerical order:

• 99 Musk-kosiminiziibing

First Election Date

2 In accordance with subsection 3(2) of the First Nations Elections Act, the date of the first election of the council of the Musk-kosiminiziibing is fixed as January 22, 2027.

Coming into Force

3 This Order comes into force on the day on which it is registered.
