Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, makes the annexed CICEPA Tariff Preference Regulations under subsection 16(2)footnote a of the Customs Tariff footnote b.

CICEPA Tariff Preference Regulations

Definition of originating

1 In these Regulations, originating means qualifying as originating in the territory of a Party under the rules of origin set out in Chapter 3 (Rules of origin and origin procedures) of the Canada–Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.

Conditions

2 For the purposes of paragraph 24(1)(b) of the Customs Tariff, originating goods exported from Indonesia and shipped to Canada are entitled to the benefit of the Indonesia Tariff if

Coming into force

3 These Regulations come into force on the day on which section 40 of the Canada–Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement Implementation Act, chapter 8 of the Statutes of Canada, 2026, comes into force, but if they are registered after that day, they come into force on the day on which they are registered.
