Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, under subsection 5(1)^{footnote a} of the Salaries Act^{footnote b}, designates the Department of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness to provide support to the Minister of Emergency Management and Community Resilience in the carrying out of that Minister’s responsibilities.
