Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, under section 11^{footnote a} of the Ministries and Ministers of State Act^{footnote b}, assigns the Honourable Nathalie Provost, Minister of State (Nature) to be styled Secretary of State (Nature), to assist the Minister of Canadian Heritage, the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, the Minister of the Environment and the Minister of Natural Resources in the carrying out of those Ministers’ responsibilities.
