Order Designating the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons for the Purposes of the Canada Elections Act

P.C. 2025-434 March 14, 2025

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, under the definition Minister in subsection 2(1) of the Canada Elections Act^{footnote a},

• (a) repeals Order in Council P.C. 2025-86 of February 12, 2025^{footnote b}; and
• (b) designates the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, a member of the King’s Privy Council for Canada, for the purposes of that Act.
