SEX OFFENDER INFORMATION REGISTRATION ACT
The Lieutenant Governor in Council of British Columbia makes the annexed Regulations Amending the British Columbia Sex Offender Information Registration Regulations under subsection 18(1)footnote a of the Sex Offender Information Registration Act, S.C. 2004, c. 10.

Coming into Force
8 These Regulations come into force on November 29, 2024, but if they are registered after that day, they come into force on the day on which they are registered.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations.)
The British Columbia Sex Offender Information Registration Regulations designate British Columbia police agencies as registration centres under the Sexual Offender Information Registration Act (Canada). These Regulations do the following:
- replace the Surrey RCMP detachment with the Surrey Police Service as a designated registration centre;
- update addresses or names for six designated police agencies that have moved or been renamed.
