Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, under section 3 of the Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians Act ^{footnote a}, designates the Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion, who is a federal minister, to be the Minister for the purposes of that Act.
