SEX OFFENDER INFORMATION REGISTRATION ACT
The Lieutenant Governor in Council of Nova Scotia, on the report and recommendation of the Nova Scotia Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 18(1)(d) of the Sex Offender Information Registration Act footnote a, makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Nova Scotia Sex Offender Information Registration Regulations.

Regulations Amending the Nova Scotia Sex Offender Information Registration Regulations
Amendments
1 Section 5 of the Nova Scotia Sex Offender Information Registration Regulations footnote 1 is replaced by the following:
5 The following locations and each RCMP detachment in Nova Scotia are designated as registration centres for the area of that province that they serve:
- (a) the NSSOIRC;
- (b) the Office of the Cape Breton Regional Police, Central Division;
- (c) the Office of the Halifax Regional Police Department; and
- (d) the Office of New Glasgow Police Service.
2 The schedule to the Regulations is repealed.
Coming into Force
3 These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The Regulations amend the Nova Scotia Sex Offender Information Registration Regulations by designating more registration centres for the purposes of the Sex Offender Information Registration Act.
