Hazret Keskin Tax Remission Order

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that the collection of the interest is unjust, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Revenue, pursuant to subsection 23(2) (see footnote a) of the Financial Administration Act (see footnote b), hereby remits interest in the amounts of $1,795.40 and $2,931.64, paid or payable under Part Ⅰ of the Income Tax Act (see footnote c) by Hazret Keskin for the 1989 and 1996 taxation years, and all relevant interest on the amounts.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

The Order remits all arrears interest for the 1989 and 1996 tax years paid or payable by Hazret Keskin.

The remission is based on incorrect action on the part of Canada Revenue Agency officials.
