(This note is not part of the Order.)
The Order fixes November 1, 2011, as the day on which certain provisions of An Act to amend the law governing financial institutions and to provide for related and consequential matters come into force. Those provisions amend certain Acts governing federal financial institutions. They strengthen consumer protection by providing key information on certain financial products provided by banks, trust and loan companies and cooperative credit associations, such as registered retirement savings plans and deposit type instruments.
