ALLSTATE INSURANCE COMPANY OF CANADA
ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENT
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of subsection 254(3) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that Allstate Insurance Company of Canada (Allstate) intends to make an application to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (the “Superintendent”), on or after June 22, 2026, for the Superintendent’s approval to cause itself to be reinsured by Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada, on an assumption basis, against all of the risks assumed by or undertaken by Allstate in respect of all group employer-sponsored voluntary critical illness and accident insurance risks issued in Canada (the “Assumed Policies”). As of the effective date of the proposed transaction, Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada will assume the duties, obligations and liabilities of Allstate in relation to the Assumed Policies, including the processing and payment of claims.
A copy of the proposed assumption reinsurance agreement will be made available for inspection by policyholders of Allstate during regular business hours at the offices of Allstate, located at 3389 Steeles Avenue East, North York, Ontario M2H 3S8, for a 30-day period after the date of publication of this notice. Any policyholder may request a copy of the assumption reinsurance agreement by writing to Allstate at the above address, to the attention of Bob Mongia.
Any policyholder who has inquiries about the assumption reinsurance agreement may call Allstate’s toll-free call centre at 1‑844‑436‑1105, from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST.

RELEASE OF ASSETS
Pursuant to section 651 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) [the “Act”], notice is hereby given that Munich Reinsurance America, Inc., carrying on business in Canada as a branch (the “MRAM Branch”), intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), on or after June 15, 2026, for an order authorizing the release of the assets that it maintains in Canada in accordance with the Act.
Any policyholder or creditor in respect of the MRAM Branch’s reinsurance business in Canada opposing that release is invited to file an opposition by mail to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), Legislative Approvals and New Entry Division, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, or by email at approvals-approbations@osfi-bsif.gc.ca, on or before June 15, 2026.
