APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH AN INSURANCE COMPANY
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with paragraph 25(2) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that Stewardship Alternative Income Fund, an Ontario registered mutual fund trust, together with its portfolio manager, Portfolio Stewards Inc., an Ontario registered investment fund manager, and Paul Tyers and Peggy Tyers, intend to file with the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, on or after September 26, 2023, an application for the Minister of Finance to issue letters patent incorporating a life insurance company offering life and health insurance products. Its head office will be located in Toronto, Ontario.
The proposed insurance company will carry on business in Canada under the legal name Insurance Stewards Inc..
Any person who objects to the proposed incorporation may submit an objection in writing to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, 255 Albert Street, 12th Floor, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, on or before September 26, 2023.
Note: The publication of this notice should not be construed as evidence that the letters patent will be issued to incorporate the life insurance company. ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENTS
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of subsection 254(2) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) [the “Act”], that Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company of Canada (“RSA Canada”) intends to make an application to the Minister of Finance (the “Minister”), on or after September 5, 2023, for the Minister’s approval to cause itself to be reinsured, on an assumption basis, against substantially all of its policy liabilities, by Intact Insurance Company, pursuant to three separate tranches.
The first tranche will relate to RSA Canada’s personal and commercial lines of automobile insurance policies in all Canadian provinces and territories other than Ontario. The second tranche will relate to RSA Canada’s personal and commercial lines of automobile insurance policies in Ontario. The third tranche will relate to RSA Canada’s personal and commercial property and casualty and specialty lines of business other than automobile and travel insurance (which would include surety bonds, product warranty and home warranty policies including enrolments, and course of construction policies). For clarity, the proposed assumption reinsurance transactions will not include any structured settlement arrangements.
A copy of each of the three proposed assumption reinsurance agreements will be available for inspection by the policyholders of RSA Canada during regular business hours at the head office of RSA Canada located at 700 University Avenue, Suite 1500-A, Toronto, Ontario M5G 0A1, for a period of 30 days following publication of this notice.
Any policyholder who wishes to obtain a copy of any of the assumption reinsurance agreements may do so by writing to RSA Canada at the above-noted address.

ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENT
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of subsection 254(2) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) [the “Act”], that Western Assurance Company (“Western Assurance”) intends to make an application to the Minister of Finance (the “Minister”), on or after September 5, 2023, for the Minister’s approval to cause itself to be reinsured, on an assumption basis, against all of its policy liabilities, by Intact Insurance Company. For clarity, the proposed assumption reinsurance transactions will not include any structured settlement arrangements.
