NOTICE TO INTERESTED PARTIES

CANADIAN TRANSPORTATION AGENCY

CANADA TRANSPORTATION ACT

Adjusted maximum amount of freight charges

Whereas pursuant to subsection 164.2(3) of the Canada Transportation Act, S.C. 1996, c. 10, the Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) shall adjust the maximum amount of freight charges in accordance with subsection 164.2(1) and cause it to be published in the Canada Gazette;

Whereas in Determination No. R-2021-166 dated November 9, 2021, the Agency determined the adjusted maximum amount for the purposes of subsection 164.2(1) to be $2,102,000;

The Agency hereby publishes the adjusted maximum amount for the three-year period ending on March 31, 2024.

PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT ACT

Permission and leave granted (Alexander, Jessica Edith)

The Public Service Commission of Canada, pursuant to section 116 of the Public Service Employment Act, hereby gives notice that it has granted permission, pursuant to subsection 114(4) of the said Act, to Jessica Edith Alexander, Benefits Officer, Employment and Social Development Canada, to seek nomination as a candidate before and during the election period, and to be a candidate before the election period in the electoral district of Chester-St. Margaret’s, Nova Scotia, in the August 17, 2021, provincial election.

The Public Service Commission of Canada, pursuant to subsection 114(5) of the said Act, has also granted a leave of absence without pay during the election period to be a candidate. This leave became effective at close of business on July 21, 2021.
