RELEASE OF ASSETS
Pursuant to section 651 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) [the “Act”], notice is hereby given that Allstate Insurance Company intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada) on or after November 14, 2015, for an order authorizing the release of the assets that it maintains in Canada in accordance with the Act.
Any policyholder or creditor in respect of Allstate Insurance Company's insurance business in Canada opposing that release is invited to file an opposition by mail to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), Legislation and Approvals Division, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, or by email at approvalsandprecedents@osfi-bsif.gc.ca, on or before November 14, 2015.
This notice relates solely to the Canadian Branch of Allstate Insurance Company established in 1949 to provide reinsurance with respect to Canadian risks and which has not marketed or sold insurance or reinsurance to unaffiliated entities since 1996. If granted, the order will not impact the operations of other Allstate Insurance Company Canadian entities, including Allstate Insurance Company of Canada, Pafco Insurance Company, Pembridge Insurance Company and Esurance Insurance Company of Canada.

RELEASE OF ASSETS
Pursuant to section 651 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) [the “Act”], notice is hereby given that Arrowood Indemnity Company, carrying on business in Canada as a branch under the name Security Insurance Company of Hartford (“SICH”), intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), on or after December 14, 2015, for an order authorizing the release of the assets that it maintains in Canada in accordance with the Act.

ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENT
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 254(2.01) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that Federation Insurance Company of Canada (“Federation”) intends to make application to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (the “Superintendent”), on or after December 1, 2015, for the Superintendent's approval to cause itself to be reinsured, on an assumption basis, against less than substantially all risks undertaken by Federation in respect of its policies, by its affiliate, Economical Mutual Insurance Company.
A copy of the assumption reinsurance agreement relating to this transaction will be available for inspection by the policyholders of Federation during regular business hours at the offices of Federation located at 1 Place Ville-Marie, Suite 1400, Montréal, Quebec, H3B 2B2, for a period of 30 days following publication of this notice.
Any policyholder who wishes to obtain a copy of the assumption reinsurance agreement may do so by writing to Farah Zafar, Senior Counsel, Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer, at the above-noted address.
