INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL BANK OF CHINA LIMITED
APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH A FOREIGN BANK BRANCH
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 525(2) of the Bank Act, that Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, a foreign bank with its head office in Beijing, China, intends to apply to the Minister of Finance for an order permitting it to establish a foreign bank branch in Canada to carry on the business of banking.
The branch will carry on business in Canada under the name Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, Toronto Branch in the English form and Banque Industrielle et Commerciale de Chine Limitée, Succursale de Toronto in the French form, and its principal office will be located in Toronto, Ontario.
Any person who objects to the proposed order may submit an objection in writing to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, on or before June 15, 2015.
Note: The publication of this Notice should not be construed as evidence that an order will be issued to establish the foreign bank branch. The granting of the order will be dependent upon the normal Bank Act application review process and the discretion of the Minister of Finance.

LETTERS PATENT OF INCORPORATION
Pursuant to section 25 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), notice is hereby given that The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company intends to apply to the Minister of Finance for the issuance of letters patent incorporating an insurance company under the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) for the purpose of transacting the business of life insurance with the name Manulife Assurance Company of Canada, in English, and Compagnie d'assurance Manuvie du Canada, in French, or such other name as may be approved. Its head office will be located in Toronto, Ontario.

SIGNATURE ON THE SAINT LAWRENCE CONSTRUCTION G.P.
PLANS DEPOSITED
Signature on the Saint Lawrence Construction g.p. hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport under the Navigation Protection Act for approval of the plans and site of the work described herein. Under paragraph 5(6)(b) of the said Act, Signature on the Saint Lawrence Construction g.p. has deposited with the Minister of Transport, and for consultation in the office of Signature on the Saint Lawrence Construction g.p., 2015 Peel Street, 7th Floor, Montréal, Quebec, a description of the following works and their sites and plans:
- Construction of the new bridge over the St. Lawrence River between Île des Sœurs and Brossard;
- Demolition of the existing Île des Sœurs Bridge between Île de Montréal and Île des Sœurs;
- Construction of the new Île des Sœurs Bridge between Île de Montréal and Île des Sœurs; and
- Construction of temporary riprap jetties
in and over the St. Lawrence River, between the city of Montréal (borough of Verdun) and the city of Brossard, as indicated on the location plan.
Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation may be directed to the Regional Manager, Navigation Protection Program, Transport Canada, 1550 D'Estimauville Avenue, Suite 401, Québec, Quebec G1J 0C8. However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing and are received not later than 30 days after the date of publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.

CONVEYANCE AND ASSUMPTION AGREEMENT AND CERTIFICATE OF CONTINUANCE
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 254(3) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that The Standard Life Assurance Company of Canada (“SCDA”) intends to make an application to the Minister of Finance, on or after June 8, 2015, for approval of the assumption of substantially all the liabilities of SCDA (including all policyholder liabilities) and a conveyance of substantially all of SCDA's assets to The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company.
A copy of the proposed Conveyance and Assumption Agreement is available for inspection by policyholders of SCDA during regular business hours for a period of 30 days after the publication of this notice at the office of SCDA, at the following address: 1245 Sherbrooke Street W., Montréal, Quebec H3G 1G3. Any policyholder may request a copy of the Conveyance and Assumption Agreement by writing to the above address to the attention of the Corporate Secretary.
Notice is also hereby given, pursuant to subsection 39(3) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that SCDA intends to apply to the Minister of Finance, on or after June 8, 2015, for approval to apply under the Canada Business Corporations Act (the “CBCA”) for a certificate of continuance as a corporation under the CBCA, following the transfer and assumption of SCDA's assets and liabilities.
