Notice is hereby given that The Equitable Trust Company, incorporated under the Trust and Loan Companies Act (Canada) with its head office in Toronto, Ontario, intends to make an application pursuant to section 35 of the Bank Act (Canada) for the approval of the Minister of Finance (Canada) for letters patent continuing The Equitable Trust Company as a bank under the Bank Act (Canada), with the legal names “Equitable Bank” in the English form and “Banque Équitable” in the French form. Subject to the approval of the Minister of Finance (Canada), the Trust and Loan Companies Act (Canada) shall cease to apply to The Equitable Trust Company as of the date the letters patent of continuance take effect.

Note: The publication of this Notice should not be construed as evidence that letters patent will be issued to The Equitable Trust Company to continue as a bank. Notice is hereby given that Ironshore Insurance Ltd., an entity incorporated and formed under the laws of Bermuda, intends to file with the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, on or after April 22, 2013, an application under section 574 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) for an order to allow it to conduct in Canada property and casualty insurance business under the English name Ironshore Insurance Ltd. and the French name Les Assurances Ironshore. Keeyask Hydropower Limited Partnership hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities under the Navigable Waters Protection Act for approval of the plans and site of the work described herein. Under section 9 of the said Act, Keeyask Hydropower Limited Partnership has deposited with the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and in the land titles office at 25 Tupper Street N, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba R1N 3K1, under the following deposit numbers, a description of the site and plans of the following proposed works:

  • Deposit No. 0284/13 (53956) and registration No. 1159015/3: water control structures including powerhouse, intake and tailrace channels, transmission tower spur, spillway, approach and discharge channels, dams and associated infrastructure;
  • Deposit No. 0285/13 (53957) and registration No. 1159016/3: stage I cofferdams and groin structures;
  • Deposit No. 0286/13 (53958) and registration No. 1159017/3: stage II cofferdams and groin structures; and
  • Deposit No. 0287/13 (53959) and registration No. 1159018/3: ice boom.

The Keeyask Generation Project is a 695 MW hydroelectric generating station to be located on the lower Nelson River at Gull Rapids immediately upstream of Stephens Lake, in northern Manitoba. The generating station would be located approximately 180 km northeast of Thompson, 60 km northeast of Split Lake, and 30 km west of Gillam. The coordinates of the proposed generating station are 56°20′55″ N and 95°11′44″ W (6247045N, 0364316E, UTM NAD83 Zone 15). The four works described in this notice are located mainly within the following township/ range, East of the Prime median: 84-14E, 84-15E, 85-14E and 85-15E (Manitoba Land Survey System).

Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation may be directed to the Regional Manager, Navigable Waters Protection Program, Transport Canada, 9700 Jasper Avenue, Suite 1100, Edmonton, Alberta T5J 4E6. However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing and are received not later than 30 days after the date of publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.
