Interim Order No. 5 Respecting Passenger Identification and Behaviour Observation

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to subsection 6.41(2) (see footnote a) of the Aeronautics Act (see footnote b), hereby approves Order Approving Interim Order No. 5 Respecting Passenger Identification and Behaviour Observation, made by the Minister of Minister of Transport on March 14, 2011.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order approves Interim Order No. 5 Respecting Passenger Identification and Behaviour Observation made by the Minister of Transport. Without this approval, Interim Order No. 5 Respecting Passenger Identification and Behaviour Observation would, in accordance with subsection 6.41(2) of the Aeronautics Act, cease to have effect 14 days after it was made. As a result of this approval, Interim Order No. 5 Respecting Passenger Identification and Behaviour Observation will, in accordance with subsection 6.41(3) of the Aeronautics Act, cease to have effect one year after the day on which it was made or on the day on which regulations have the same effect come into force, whichever is earlier. The Department of Transport expects to publish for consultation a set of proposed amendments to the Canadian Aviation Security Regulations that will have the same effect as Interim Order No. 5 Respecting Passenger Identification and Behaviour Observation in 2011/2012.

Interim Order No. 11 Respecting Mail, Cargo and Baggage

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to subsection 6.41(2) (see footnote c) of the Aeronautics Act (see footnote d), hereby approves Order Approving Interim Order No. 11 Respecting Mail, Cargo and Baggage, made by the Minister of Minister of Transport on March 16, 2011.

This Order approves Interim Order No. 11 Respecting Mail, Cargo and Baggage made by the Minister of Transport on March 16, 2011. Without this approval, Interim Order No. 11 Respecting Mail, Cargo and Baggage would, in accordance with subsection 6.41(2) of the Aeronautics Act, cease to have effect 14 days after it was made. As a result of this approval, Interim Order No. 11 Respecting Mail, Cargo and Baggage will, in accordance with subsection 6.41(3) of the Aeronautics Act, cease to have effect one year after the day on which it was made or on the day on which regulations have the same effect come into force, whichever is earlier.
