Whereas the Governor in Council has, by the Canadian Turkey Marketing Agency Proclamation (see footnote a), established the Canadian Turkey Marketing Agency pursuant to subsection 16(1) (see footnote b) of the Farm Products Agencies Act (see footnote c);

Whereas that Agency has been empowered to implement a marketing plan pursuant to that Proclamation;

Whereas that Agency has taken into account the factors set out in paragraphs 4(1)(c) to (h) of Part II of the schedule to that Proclamation;

Whereas that Agency is satisfied that the size of the market for turkeys has changed significantly;

And whereas, pursuant to paragraph 7(1)(d) (see footnote f) of that Act, the National Farm Products Council has approved the proposed Regulations after being satisfied that they are necessary for the implementation of the marketing plan that that Agency is authorized to implement;

Therefore, the Canadian Turkey Marketing Agency, pursuant to paragraph 22(1)(f) of the Farm Products Agencies Act (see footnote g) and section 2 of Part II of the schedule to the Canadian Turkey Marketing Agency Proclamation (see footnote h), makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Canadian Turkey Marketing Quota Regulations, 1990.
